Governor Dayton appoints two to the Minnesota Board of Dietetics and Nutrition Practice.
Kristin Halonen, Cokato, and Debra Sheats, St. Paul were named to the Board on November 23, 2011. Halonen is a public member and Sheets will represent one of two positions for Licensed Dietitians on the board. Both will serve until August 1, 2015. Welcome to the Board!
Agency
Minnesota Statutes 148.621 - 148.633 and Minnesota Rules, chapter 3250 provide the Minnesota Board of Dietetics and Nutrition Practice authority to act as the licensure agency for the practice of dietetics and nutrition.
Mission
- Promoting public interest in receiving quality dietetic and nutrition services from competent licensed dietitians and nutritionists.
- Protecting the public by ensuring that all licensed dietitians and nutritionists meet the educational and practical requirements specified in law.
- Protecting the public by setting standards for quality dietetic and nutrition service.

CONTINUING EDUCATION
The current three-year continuing education cycle is December 1, 2012 - November 30, 2015. The number of CE credits you need is pro-rated depending upon the date you initially became licensed.
